CAMPUS UPDATES-  

*Wanna be part of the Freshman homecoming video? Want to earn HoCo points? Come to the homecoming video shoot this Friday at the tennis courts from 3:30-4:15. Get free pizza and points for the class of 2021! Freshmen only!

*Starting September 21st, all classes will be allowed to vote for homecoming court during A & B lunch. There will also be a laptop set up in the school store for voting. The days for voting are as follows, September 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, and 27th.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES-  

*Talent show auditions are Today, September 21st. Pick up an application form in the main office and have it filled out by auditions to try out.

*Stressed out? Overwhelmed? Want to talk? Join us for Drop In and Chat during both lunches on Thursdays in the CCR.

SPORTS -

*Levi Robinson qualified as an alternate player for the high school state golf tournament at Common Grounds Golf Course on October 2nd + 3rd.

*There will be a boys varsity soccer game today at 6:30pm vs Brighton here at Rangeview High School.

*There will also be a volleyball varsity game at 6:30pm vs Brighton at Brighton High School.

*Students interested in taking the ASVAB in October, please see Lillie Dean, Ms. G. or your school counselor by October 13th 2017

* The September 27th Accuplacer date has been changed to Tuesday, October 24th, at 9:30 a.m.The google sign-up is once again accepting responses for the new date. Please see your counselor with any questions about concurrent enrollment or the Accuplacer.

*Do you like Chipotle? Do you like The Raider Review? From 5:30 to 8 p.m. tonight the Chipotle on Iliff and Chambers will donate half of all of its proceeds to Rangeview journalism. We will then donate half of our profits to a Houston-area high school news outlet affected by Hurricane Harvey. Thanks for your support, and remember to tell the cashier you are with Rangeview journalism!  

* Ski and snowboard club will meet today afterschool in room 234c. Anyone interested in skiing or snowboarding is encouraged to attend.

  • Do you like Chipotle? Do you like The Raider Review? Want a good excuse to have Chipotle for dinner tomorrow night? *Do you like writing poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction, or enjoy taking pictures and making art? Have you ever wanted to be published? The new Aurora based literary magazine, Pulse’29, is now accepting work from voices who want to challenge and question the norms of our society. If you’d like to have your voice be heard on the things you are passionate about, submit your work topulse29mag@gmail.com with the title and genre of your piece and a small bio or visit pulse29.com for more information.

* The cross country team will participate in the varsity invitational at Denver West High School today.

*The boys tennis team plays at Brighton at 4:30 today

*Girls softball hosts Thornton at 4:30 p.m. today.

*Boys soccer plays at Thornton at 6 p.m. today.

CAMPUS UPDATES-  

*Attention all Rangeview students, the weight room is open after school from 3:30-4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Coach Emmer and Coach Hamilton would love to see any and all students that are not involved in a after school activity.

*There is the next Accuplacer Test on Wednesday September 27th in room 133 at 9:30 in the morning. The deadline to sign up for the test is tomorrow. Students must sign up for the test at least one week in advance.

*Students, we will be awarding 50 homecoming points to the class that has the highest attendance each week leading up to homecoming. Congratulations to the seniors for leading the pack and having the highest attendance again last week at 96%. You all earn 50 homecoming points! The freshman, sophomores, and juniors all tied at 93%.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES-  

*If you're interested in equality for all, government, politics, social justice, or just learning more about these things, then Social Justice Club is for you! *Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale soon! Buy your tickets on the 22nd for only $10! After that, they will $15 with an activity card, $20 without. At the dance on the 7th, they will be $20 with an activity card, and $25 without. For guest passes please fill out a form in the main office. You do not want to miss out!

*Calling all Rangeview High School Students:  The all school musical this year is The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Auditions will start Monday, September 18th after school.  If you are interested in performing on stage, this is the perfect play to start with.  Applications are in the main office and the sign-up sheet for auditions will be posted on the “call” bulletin board next to the back stage door on Thursday.

*Tonight at 6:00PM During Parent Teacher Conferences you and your parents are invited to attend Rangeview’s Financial Aid Information Night. Learn about the financial aid process for college and for your post-secondary education. FAFSA opens October 1st make sure you’re prepared.

CAMPUS UPDATES-  

*Stressed out about coming back to school? Need help with time management?Want to learn skills to feel calm and relaxed? Today there will be stress help meetings in room 130 for A lunch and in room 222 for B lunch. Also,beginning Thursday September 7th, the meetings will be held in the CCR for both lunches.   

*Students:  Our first early release day is this Friday, September 1st.  There will be no ROTC classes on early release days.  For students who have Pickens classes; they will alternate between early release, am classes and late start pm classes.  This Friday, Pickens will be on an early release am classes schedule.  Transportation will pick up and drop off at Rangeview at regular Pickens schedule times.  Also, students should attend off-campus CCA classes as regularly scheduled.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES-  

*If you are interested in being a student athletic aide and missed the after school meeting yesterday, see Ms. Kelley in the Training Room before Friday to sign up!

SPORTS -

* There will be a boys varsity tennis match @ 4pm today against George Washington @ George Washington High School.

*The time for National honors Society applications has come. Membership is an honor bestowed upon a student. To be eligible to apply, a student must be a sophomore or older; have at least a 3.5 GPA; and demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, and character. *There will be a CyberPatriot meeting tonight in room 225 at 3:30. Get involved in the world of Cyber Security and join the largest Cyber Security program in the United States and one of the largest programs in the country at Rangeview.

*Rangeview student media is looking to start a collection of Rangeview student music to use in the Friday Weekly Wrap and other videos published online. If you would like to hear your music featured and get free promotion, see Mr. Carabello in room 165 or see any member of the Raider Review.
