Dear APS Parent/Guardian,
Greetings from Rangeview High School! You are receiving this letter because your child has been invited for a special opportunity at Rangeview High School during on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Your child is invited to take the PSAT 8/9 for free to help them prepare for the all-important SAT. We have created an opportunity for them to still be able to take the test via this special day and also enjoy breakfast and lunch on Rangeview High School to reward them for their efforts that day. Parents will also have the opportunity to attend a free workshop on the college admissions process and more.
We believe that your student is not only college bound, but based on their test scores and academic success has potential to attend any school of their dreams. Last year Rangeview students chose to attend prestigious schools such as Harvard, Stanford, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, Boston College and more, while deciding not to accept admission to schools like MIT, Yale, Columbia, Virginia, Baylor, and more. In addition, Rangeview currently has students enrolled in Princeton, Penn, and more.
Opening up opportunities for our students to attend the finest schools across the country is essential to our work at RHS, giving our kids the chance to reach any height. Rangeview’s College and Career Center, featured on 9News this past year, guides Raiders in all aspects of the college admission process; from FAFSA to scholarships to Special Programs to apply to colleges. In 2017, RHS seniors earned $9,886,019 in scholarships, five were named prestigious Daniels Scholars, and two earned Questbridge Scholar status. Our ACCESS program targets the top 10% of each grade and gives them early help with the process. The past two years RHS has even funded college trips for students to the east coast to schools such as Harvard, MIT, Boston College, Penn, Swarthmore, and more.
We believe that your child would thrive with this free opportunity and if you are interested in your student attending head over to rangeview.aurorak12.org and sign up. Students would spend roughly four hours with us arriving at 8:ooAM for breakfast and leaving around noon following a lunch banquet. More details can be found online.
