Technology/Chromebook Pick Up at Rangeview

Good Day, Rangeview Students, Parents, and Guardians,

This is Principal, Lisa Grosz.  I hope this call and communication finds you and your family well.  We’ve entered unprecedented times and are learning as we go.  Thank you for your patience as we move forward with our online learning plan.

You should have received an APS communication yesterday stating that we are shifting to provide remote learning for students beginning Tuesday, March 31st. We will provide online lessons and our teachers will support and engage remotely with students in a web-based learning environment.

All of the learning resources we are providing can be accessed via a tablet, smart phone or computer. If your student does not have a device at home and needs a device to access online learning opportunities, we will have them available for pick up this week. I am asking that if you do not need a device, please do not sign up for one, as our resources are limited. Device pick-up is only for families who do not currently have devices for their students at home.

If you do not have a device, you may pick one up at the front entrance of Rangeview High School.  If your last name begins with A – M, you may come to Rangeview on Wednesday, March 25th between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.  If your name begins with N – Z, you may come to Rangeview on Thursday, March 26th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  These will be the only dates and times we are able to access the building for Chromebook check – out.

If you have students who attend multiple schools and are in need of technology, please make sure to check out a device at each child’s school. There is a link in yesterday’s communication showing the distribution schedule for all APS schools.

During pick up times, in order to ensure the health and safety of others, please keep at least six feet of distance between families. Parents and guardians will not enter the school. We will fill out a checkout form by asking questions via the intercom or through the doorway. Please do not bring any family members to the school who are showing symptoms of illness including fever, cough or shortness of breath. We also ask that you follow these simple guidelines:

  • Please provide the name of your child(ren) for technology pick up when asked. If your student has a School ID, please bring it with you.
  • Please wait for the Chromebook to be placed on the pick-up table outside.
  • Once the staff member is back in the building, you may take the Chromebook and leave.
  • Please do not move forward in line until directed to do so. The delivery table will be wiped down after each exchange.

Please note that you will be expected to return the technology to our school when transitioning back to in-person classroom learning.
