Please note an important update regarding the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (College Board PSAT).
Originally, the test was scheduled for next week, October 9th and 10th, as announced in Sunday calls and the Weekly Bulletin from September 29th. Students were encouraged to take the exam on Friday, October 10th, if possible, but we understand some have family obligations that prevent them from attending school that day.
Due to the numerous events that have occurred in the two weeks leading up to the end of the quarter, we have decided to change one of the testing dates. The Thursday, October 9th testing date has been moved to Thursday, October 23rd (after Fall Break). This adjustment aims to support our students, as many who signed up for the October 9th exam have also been involved in the spirit parade and pep rally, and will be attending the district college fair next Tuesday. This would result in a significant number of missed classes.
To recap, the updated National Merit schedule is:
- Friday Oct 10th 7:30-12pm
- Thursday, Oct 23rd 7:30-2:30pm (This date/time accommodates four students requiring extended time.)
Students who originally signed up for Thursday, October 9th, will receive a separate email confirming their new testing date of Thursday, October 23rd. Students who signed up for Friday, October 10th, will still test on that day as planned.
