Very Important Message Regarding
August 11, 2022
Asynchronous Learning will continue August 12, 2022
Our maintenance team has been working diligently to fix the cooling system in our building. However, repairs are taking longer than expected. Considering the weather forecast for tomorrow and because the building remains uncomfortably warm, students will again need to learn remotely from home for tomorrow (Friday, August 12).
Students are expected to learn asynchronously (at their own pace) via Google classroom beginning at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. Students should check their school email for updates tomorrow morning. Teachers will send instructions and classroom codes for students to access asynchronous assignments.
Lunch will be available for pickup at no cost to families from 10:45 a.m. to Noon outside on the south side of the building.
ROTC will be canceled again tomorrow. Students who attend classes at Pickens Technical College and do not have their own transportation will be excused again tomorrow. Students who attend classes on the campus of the Community College of Aurora should plan to attend those courses as scheduled.
Our back-to-school dance that was planned for tomorrow night will need to be rescheduled. We will share information about the new date and time once it is available.
Maintenance crews will continue to work to ensure our building will be open for in-person learning on Monday. We will notify you if there is a change as quickly as possible. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
