Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Procedure

Honest, dependable and respectful volunteers are an essential part of the Rangeview High School team. Volunteers have the opportunity to help supervise the lunchroom, assist in the main office, work with booster clubs and extra-curricular activity groups and offer economic donations.

To begin the process of becoming a Rangeview Raider Volunteer, the APS Security department is now registering all volunteers, which includes finger printing, and a background check. Once approved, all volunteers will receive an official APS Volunteer ID badge.

If you are committing to only a one-time event, you will simply need to register in the front office of Rangeview the day of your event.

To register, volunteers will need to complete the following:

  1. All volunteers will need to obtain the Volunteer Approval Request form from Rangeview High School, prior to coming to the Security D This form must be signed by the Principal and faxed, emailed or sent inner office to the security department. Please note that the Security Department  receive this form before the volunteer process can begin, and this form cannot be hand delivered by the volunteer.
  2. Complete a volunteer registration form, available in both English and Spanish  - Rangeview High School Volunteer Form Spanish Rangeview High School Volunteer Form
  1. Confirm with the APS Security Department office that your form has been submitted.. Please bring a current government issued photo ID and your volunteer registration form, if you've already completed one. Once the background check has been cleared (usually 24-48 hours after) the volunteer ID will be sent to the school for the volunteer to pick up. If the background check is not acceptable, the Security department will decline their offer to volunteer and notify the appropriate site.

RHS Greeters

The RHS greeters program is a school initiated, volunteer driven greeting program. Our role is to create a friendly, approachable and safe school every day, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm. Responsibilities that our parent volunteers have are to welcome and ask each adult visitor to sign in; dispense information and answer questions as visitors enter the school; contact the main office on a two way radio when any special circumstance arises; direct all visitors to their intended destination. This is a very easy way to be at the school in two hour shifts. All volunteers must commit for a minimum of a quarter.
