Picture Retake Day - October 6, 2022
Temporary Pick-up & Drop-off Procedures
We would like to share important information about the upcoming closure of our east entrance that will unfortunately impact traffic flow. We recently learned that Phillips66 will resume repairs to their gas pipeline, which will require closing our east entrance off of S. Telluride St. The work will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, October 6 and will last through fall break.
Parents dropping their students off must use either the southwest entrance by the school marquee OR the south entrance located on N. Sedalia St. Staff and buses will need to use the south entrance off of E. Iliff Avenue and N. Sedalia St. We sent you a link to a map via email that explains these options.
Please note that these changes will likely cause delays. We ask for your patience and support in planning accordingly. Please know that our school opens at 7:10 a.m. and we strongly encourage you to drop off your student early to avoid any traffic delays.. Also, please continue to follow all traffic rules and drive carefully when entering and leaving our south and west parking lots.
Homecoming Week - September 26 - October 1
Homecoming 2022 begins this Friday with our kick-off Pep Rally assembly. Homecoming week runs from September 26th through September 30th with the dance on Saturday, October 1st. As a reminder, if you hope to bring a high school-aged guest to the Homecoming Dance, you’ll need to pick up a Guest Pass Form in the main office and have it filled out by the administrator at the school where your guest attends. Those forms will be reviewed prior to you purchasing a ticket for your guest. Forms are due back to RHS on Tuesday, September 27th by 3:30 p.m.

Very Important Message Regarding
August 11, 2022
Asynchronous Learning will continue August 12, 2022
Our maintenance team has been working diligently to fix the cooling system in our building. However, repairs are taking longer than expected. Considering the weather forecast for tomorrow and because the building remains uncomfortably warm, students will again need to learn remotely from home for tomorrow (Friday, August 12).
Students are expected to learn asynchronously (at their own pace) via Google classroom beginning at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. Students should check their school email for updates tomorrow morning. Teachers will send instructions and classroom codes for students to access asynchronous assignments.
Lunch will be available for pickup at no cost to families from 10:45 a.m. to Noon outside on the south side of the building.
ROTC will be canceled again tomorrow. Students who attend classes at Pickens Technical College and do not have their own transportation will be excused again tomorrow. Students who attend classes on the campus of the Community College of Aurora should plan to attend those courses as scheduled.
Our back-to-school dance that was planned for tomorrow night will need to be rescheduled. We will share information about the new date and time once it is available.
Maintenance crews will continue to work to ensure our building will be open for in-person learning on Monday. We will notify you if there is a change as quickly as possible. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
